Our journey together begins with faith and a shared passion for strengthening Christian marriages. We are dedicated marriage coaches who understand the importance of Biblical principles in building and maintaining healthy, Christ-centered relationships. Our story is rooted in our own experiences and a desire to serve others.
He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Nova Southeastern University and a second Master’s in Pastoral Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family. Dario is also a certified life coach and a trained financial coach with Dave Ramsey Solutions, Dario has, alongside his wife Dawn, counseled couples for over 10 years helping them navigate tough seasons in their marriage with God as the ultimate guide and foundation.
A retired educator with over 30 years of service in Miami-Dade schools and colleges, he now serves as Elder and Director of Finance at Refuge Church in Homestead, Florida, under the leadership of his pastor, Dr. Jeremy Upton, D.Min.
Dario has been joyfully married to his wife, Dawn, for over 26 years. They live in Homestead, Florida, with their two children, Anastasia, who is also an educator, and Dario Jr. , who is currently serving in the United States military.
His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV): “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
She is deeply committed to her first ministry, her family, which includes her husband, Elder Dario Palmer, Sr., their two children, Anastasia and Dario Jr., and one grandchild, Isaiah. Guided by 1 Corinthians 13:4–8, she cherishes the blessing of being married to the love of her life.
Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Reading Education (K–12), and is a Certified Life Coach. She has over 30 years of teaching experience, including roles at both the elementary and high school levels, as well as serving as an adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College. Since 2016, she has been a faculty member at Westminster Christian School, where she finds great fulfillment in her calling.
Together with her husband, she has co-led the marriage ministry at Refuge Church Miami since 2016, offering marital and premarital counseling under the leadership of Pastor Jeremy Upton, D.Min. In 2020, they launched Value Your Marriage, a podcast ministry designed to encourage and equip couples to trust God and fight for their marriages.
Dawn continues to grow in her walk with the Lord, holding Psalm 27:4 close to her heart as a daily pursuit of God’s presence and beauty.
